Audio recording

Audio recording allows organisations to create and store audio files from video calls with service usersClosed A person who is seeking care or advice from a service provider via video call. A service user may be a patient, client, consumer, citizen, or similar.. This feature is for organisations that, for legal reasons, may need to record some types of conversations.

Below is some important information about the audio recording feature.

  • It is only available to organisations on request.

  • Attend Anywhere does not store any audio recordings, and does not record any video. Any organisation that has audio recording enabled will need to store the audio files in their own storage systems.

  • Audio recording is not available for group consultations.

Device and browser requirements

The audio recording feature has been designed for use on desktop or laptop computers running:

  • Windows OS, with Google Chrome or Microsoft Edge browsers

  • MacOS, with Google Chrome only

  • Chrome OS (i.e., Chromebook device), with Google Chrome.

Note: Mobile devices are not suitable for audio recording, and the Apple Safari browser is not supported. For information about which version of operating system and browser is required for video calls, see What do you need?

Recording duration

The minimum duration for a recording is 30 seconds, and the maximum is 2 hours.
