r96 release notes

What’s new and what’s changed in this release of Induction Attend Anywhere

Released from Thursday 27 November 2025

Improvements

This release contains the following improvements:

  • A news and announcements banner may be presented to users upon sign-in when communications have been published by Portal Administrators. The banner remains visible across all devices until dismissed. If users have dismissed the message, they can still access the announcement at any time by clicking the help button and navigating to News and Announcements.

  • The waiting screen for group consultations has been updated on desktop, tablet, and mobile devices. The screen now prevents devices from auto-locking while waiting, displays a self-video preview, and includes improved accessibility and translation support.

  • The "Lower hand" option is now correctly visible on the self-tile.

  • NHS Scotland only: New search filters have been added to the Active Calls list, allowing searches by first name, last name, and sorting by various criteria. The caller name is now displayed, and filters can be cleared or combined for more precise results.

  • NHS Wales only: Welsh language support will be enhanced on the new group consultation waiting screen, providing a fully bilingual experience for Welsh-speaking users.

Bug fixes

This release fixes the following bugs:

  • In rare cases, the "Join" button in breakout rooms appeared next to the main call option. The "Join" button no longer briefly overlaps with the main call option, preventing accidental call termination.

  • Previously, the magnification control for screen sharing did not sync with mouse toggle actions. This is now synchronised, providing a consistent zoom experience.

  • Previously, inline validation errors on the caller details page appeared unnecessarily. These errors now appear only when appropriate, improving the user experience during entry.

  • When a date of birth of 01/01/1970 was entered in the regular waiting area, the date of birth did not display. The date of birth now appears as expected.

  • In reports, If only an end date was selected and the start date removed, a report would generate automatically. The reports page no longer generates a report in this scenario.

  • Previously, clearing and reselecting the start date before generating a report would cause the report to fail. Reports now generate as expected in this scenario.

  • Callers in group consultations previously needed to select "Blur" twice for the effect to apply. The blur effect now applies with a single selection, improving clarity and usability.

  • NHS Wales only: The "Anonymous" label in raise hand notifications is now displayed in English for service providers, regardless of the caller's selected language.

  • NHS Wales only: The Welsh waiting area name columns are now properly aligned in tablet view.
