r87 release notes
What’s new and what’s changed in this release of Induction Attend Anywhere
Released from Tuesday 28 January 2025
Note: We’re changing the way we name releases. To make the release names easier to read and more compact, we use natural numbers—incremented with each release. We name minor releases and hotfixes like r120.3, using a second number.
This release contains the following improvements:
-
Multi-factor authentication (MFA) makes provider’s accounts more secure by asking for a single-use security code when they sign in. Providers use an authenticator app to generate single-use codes. MFA is enabled by a instance‑wide setting and individuals can opt-in and turn on MFA for their account.
Not all customer instances have MFA enabled for r87. After MFA is enabled, you'll need to instruct people who sign in to Attend Anywhere to turn on MFA for their account. You can use the usage reporting to target this communication. -
We redesigned the sign-in, change-password, and account-creation screens for providers. The new screens are easier to use, improve accessibility, and give more useful guidance when credentials don’t work.
Bug fixes
This release fixes the following bugs:
-
Infrequently, breakout-room usage might be reported incorrectly. This happened when a caller abruptly disconnected, shortly after being assigned to a breakout room. Now breakout rooms are reported correctly.
-
When a caller closed their browser tab and a provider ended the call at almost the same time (~10ms), the call was not counted in Consultations reports . Now reporting includes calls even if callers leave at the same time by closing their browser tabs.
-
On some devices, a participant’s audio was not transmitted after refreshing their call screen or transferring rooms when voice focus was enabled for the site. Now the participant’s audio continues when using these devices.
-
Mobile devices might show the call-ended screen if they abruptly lost the internet connection for a short time. However, the call continued but the participant couldn’t see the call screen. Now, Attend Anywhere doesn’t show the call-ended screen while the participant is still in the call.
-
The call screen might be hidden below a spinning progress indicator if the device abruptly lost the internet connection. The call continued but the participant couldn’t see the call screen. Now, Attend Anywhere doesn’t show the progress-indicator for short network interruptions.
-
After-call redirection URLs which contained unintentional spaces showed 404 status pages. We adjusted the existing URLs to show the correct page. Entry of new URLs was fixed in a previous release.
-
Every participant in a call showed the small service-provider icon (head-and-shoulders outline) next to their name in a video tile. This happened in both individual appointments and group consultations. Now, only service providers show the icon.
-
We also fixed some small user-interface issues. These include correcting the location of a video tile’s popup menu and fixing spelling mistakes in the unexpected-error message.
