Share a waiting area link

To join a video call, your service usersClosed A person who is seeking care or advice from a service provider via video call. A service user may be a patient, client, consumer, citizen, or similar. will need the link to the waiting area you're going to use. The link may have been provided to them when they made the appointment, but on some occasions, you may need to send them the link.

To send the waiting area link to your service user:

  1. From the main menu, select Waiting Areas and select or search for the one you need.

  2. From the settings panel, select Share link to Waiting Area.

  3. Select an option:

    • Share by text message: Enter the service user's mobile number and then select Send text message

    • Share by email: Enter the service user's email address and then select Send Email

    • Copy to clipboard: Paste the link into an email, letter, or chat program to send to the service user.

When sharing the link by text message or email, a default message is sent with the link, explaining how to join the call. You may have the option to add your own message; this is determined by your organisation administrator. For more information, see Share Link Message.
