Set waiting area access hours

This setting allows you to set the hours during which people can enter the waiting area. If necessary, you can create multiple sets of hours.

Example: Your regular hours are Monday to Friday, 9:00 am to 4:00 pm, and weekend hours are Saturdays only, from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm.

When a waiting area is closed, service usersClosed A person who is seeking care or advice from a service provider via video call. A service user may be a patient, client, consumer, citizen, or similar. are shown the day and time it will reopen.

Note: To temporarily close a waiting area, use the Suspend access feature. For more information, see Suspend waiting area access.

To set waiting area hours:

  1. From the main menu, select Waiting Areas and select or search for the one you need.

  2. Select Settings button. (Settings button) and then Video Call Access Hours (Providers). The Video Call Access Hours (Providers) dialog opens, and the default access hours of 9:00 am to 5:00 pm, Monday to Friday, appear.

  3. In Timezone of waiting area, select a timezone from the list, or start typing the name of your location and then select from the results that appear.

  4. In the From field, enter the waiting area's opening time.

    Tip: You might want to set this time to ten minutes before your actual opening time, so service users with an appointment right at opening time can enter the waiting area a few minutes early.

  5. In the To field, enter the waiting area's closing time.

  6. Select the days that the From and To times relate to.

  7. (Optional) Select Add another time and repeat steps 4 to 6.

  8. Select Save.

Tip: To delete a block of days or times, select X button. (x button) and then Save.
