Delete a waiting area

If you are an organisation administrator or a service administrator, you can delete any waiting area within your organisational unit.

Note: When you delete a waiting area, all roles related to that waiting area are also removed. It is advisable to seek management approval before deleting a waiting area.

To delete a waiting area:

  1. From the main menu, select Waiting Areas and select or search for the waiting area you need.

  2. Select Settings button. (Settings button), and then Delete waiting area. The Delete Waiting Area dialog opens.

    Note: You cannot delete a waiting area if there are service usersClosed A person who is seeking care or advice from a service provider via video call. A service user may be a patient, client, consumer, citizen, or similar. in the queue or there is a call in progress.

  3. Select Delete. A confirmation message appears. You are then redirected to either the:

    • Waiting areas screen, if you have roles in other waiting areas, or

    • Organisational units screen, if you do not have roles in other waiting areas.
