Roles and permissions

Each userClosed A staff member who has a user account for the platform. is assigned at least one role, according to the level of access they need to have. The available roles are shown below.

System administrator

A system administrator can:

  • create new organisational units, waiting areas, and meeting rooms

  • assign roles

  • view a summary of all active calls.

Organisation administrator

An organisation administrator can perform the following functions for the organisational units they administer:

  • create and make changes to the organisational unit's components (including meeting rooms and waiting areas)

  • assign roles

  • view reports

  • add people to meeting rooms and waiting areas

  • view a list of all calls in progress to waiting areas and meeting rooms

  • delete a waiting area

  • activate or inactivate the group consultations chat feature at the organisational unit and waiting area levels

  • determine whether group consultation participants (other than service providers) can see each others' full names, or their initials only.

Organisation support

This role is no longer used.

Organisation reporter

An organisation reporter can generate and view reports for the organisational unit.

Organisation editor

This role is no longer used.

Service administrator

A service administrator is assigned for each waiting area. They can:

  • make changes to the waiting area's properties

  • add people to the waiting area as staff

  • assign roles to the waiting area's staff

  • view a list of calls to the waiting area

  • suspend or restore the waiting area

  • delete a waiting area

  • activate or inactivate the group consultations chat feature at the waiting area level.

Service provider

A service provider can:

  • start and join calls made to the waiting area

  • view calls to the waiting area

  • receive 'new call' notifications from the waiting area

  • activate or inactivate the group consultations chat feature at the waiting area level.

Service coordinator

A service coordinator can:

  • view a list of calls to the waiting area

  • suspend or restore the waiting area

  • view the group consultations chat feature setting at the waiting area level.

Service referrer

This role is required for staff with the service provider role who need to transfer calls between the waiting areas in their organisational unit.

Example: Service provider A is on a call in waiting area 1 and needs to transfer the call to service provider B in waiting area 2. Service provider A must have the service referrer role in waiting area 2.

Meeting room administrator

A meeting room administrator can:

  • create and use meeting rooms

  • assign roles and manage users for the meeting rooms

  • make changes to meeting room information.

 A meeting room member can:

This role allowed a person to make changes to certain settings of an organisational unit which has only one waiting area.

Organisation support

This role allowed a person to view the status of all calls in progress to meeting rooms and waiting areas in the organisational unit.
